tasty threads

Tasty Threadstasty threads is an online outlet for community-designed, eco-friendly t-shirts and clothing. tasty threads "host a continuous design contest whilst being as environmentally sustainable as possible."

The winning designs are printed exclusively on 100% organic cotton t-shirts from American Apparel. As the community grows, tasty threads intend to expand to print designs on other eco-friendly fabrics, such as hemp, soy, and bamboo.

Members of the open community submit their designs to tasty threads, where site moderators publish the designs on the web site. The community then votes on the design, and tasty threads chooses which designs to print. Tasty threads sells the printed organic t-shirts and awards the artist cash for their winning design.

The tasty threads site is currently in testing - previews are coming soon!

Our work:

Wrexham Dragons

Wrexham DragonsWrexham Dragons was for several years the website for the Wrexham AFC Official Supporters Association. This was our first site driven by Drupal; the site required a completely custom-built theme with Flash elements, and several special features such as the Hall of Fame areas. The site has recently been taken off-line due to time commitments on the editorial team.

Content was regularly managed on-line by the site administrator, Rich Owen.

Our work:

Site driven by Drupal CMS, additional custom PHP/MySQL, design with Illustrator and some Flash.

leafish v2

Leafish v2Originally intended as a personal portfolio site, we soon realised both the name, logo and overall style could provide us with a strong brand for the company. The second iteration of leafish.co.uk was born.

This version of the site provides details of our company as well as information on our hosting plans and design pricing. A community forum was implemented, providing both potential and existing customers with a place to voice their queries and suggestions, as well as giving the general public a platform for web-related chat and development discussion.

Please note the forums have been superceded now, and have been removed from this version of our site. The forums link will redirect to this site. The archived site solely exists for the purpose of this portfolio, and so hasn't been updated since July 2004. Therefore, some of the information contained on the site may be outdated.

Our work:

Static site with some PHP and MySQL, forums from Invision Board, design in Photoshop and Illustrator

Kosha

KoshaKosha have been a well known band around North Wales for over five years, always getting a great response wherever they play. They have recently become kickin* yoshi and more recent information can be found on their (sigh) MySpace page.

This was the second site we produced for a local band, incorporating some dynamic features such as news feeds, an events calendar and a simple CMS back-end to allow members of the band to add their own content.

The tunes page contained small Flash preview players which play lower-quality samples of the songs available.

Archived site unavailable. Sorry!

Our work:

Custom-built CMS with PHP and MySQL, design work in Illustrator, some small Flash elements.

Newi Student Magazine

NEWI Student MagazineAn on-line version of a free magazine written for students at NEWI University in Wrexham. The bi-yearly publication has existed for a couple of years and the staff wished for both an on-line presence and e-mail facilities for their staff.

The site has many dynamic features and is powered by the combination of a MySQL database and our tailor-made Content Management System, AyB CMS. This system enables the editorial staff to log in to a secure area of the site and add edit or delete articles, editorials, news and events. This encouraged additional content and features exclusive website-only articles written between issues.

Note: this site was taken down in March 2005 due to lack of support on the editorial team. Thanks to Paula for hosting with us and to all the editorial team for the work they put in content-wise.

Our work:

Custom built CMS using PHP, MySQL and Smarty, some work in Photoshop
